General

Brutal heat. Brutal heat... I feel like on some days if I stray too far from my air conditioner it becomes too hot to exist
Volenteering at a local pride festival this month. I'm a little uneasy on going to bigger events a-la Boston pride on my own, so I'm glad to be able to go to & help with one pretty close (& with friends I've met over the past few months).
I think I need to improve my diet... I don't want to do any specific diet (I don't like diet culture), I'm just trying to figure out how to get myself to eat more veggies & also figure out more low-energy recipies.

I'm doing artfight again this year! Team Comedy!
Over the past month or so, I've been making doodle-comics of Nix Siren and Eiri based off some time messing with incorrect quotes generators (Mainly ThatGuyBasil's Incorrect Quotes Generator, and ScatterPatter's Incorrect Quotes Generator). Originally posted to my personal Bluesky, I'm also archiving them here over at Incorrect Siren's House Quotes!
- I might make more, I might not. Maybe take what I learned here use them somewhere else (or not)

Got to try model paints for LPS customs. Main impression is working with them is way faster than the craft paints I'm used to (at least for the more pigmented colors). They're a budget set so idk how these stack up to established brands, but the speed & faster coverage alone makes me think I should start adopting these into my custom toy & figurine works.
- I'm still gonna use craft paints for larger figures & basecoats for now because model paint prices are... prety steep. & honestly you can get pretty far with craft paint alone. But I'm open to slowly build up a collection of model paints over time.
Tomodachi Life gave me an excuse to give some attention to older OCs of mine. It might be time to finally do a few re-vamps.
My patience with my tablet is wearing thin... I guess returning to LPS customs & to some extend Tomodachi Life lets me to art & OC stuff w/o having to fight with it, but I really wish I could just drop into digital illustration without having a 2-10 minute boss battle to get it to stay on...
- I'm looking at a second hand Intuos tablet. I'm not keen on buying brand new hardware right now + numerous frustrations with a monitor (space management, hogging HDMI port, screen staying on issues, Wayland + NVIDIA bugs) is making me want to at least try downgrading. And if I can't go back... well, it'll be a good backup tablet

Tomodachi Life: The Mii drama continues. Most of my spam-posting is contained to my personal bluesky, but for some notable things:
- Current biggest house is called 'Dariacore Ghost House' & residents include Ereki, Evelyn, Risa, Zinnia, Siren, Moog, Shilow, and Prisma
- Siren has gotten into the most fights in my island so far (4 as of updating)
- It took nearly a month before Jade and Iri got Married
Flight Rising - In the background mostly. It's kinda just become something to do instead of aimlessly clicking between websites.
In the spirit of pride month, I picked up two books on queer art history; Art Essentials: Queer Art (An overview of various queer artists across history) and Planet Drag (About the history of drag from various countries). When it comes to reading, I don't read nonfiction often. But I think I should add more non-fiction to my reading list.
