General
- All things considered in my personal life, I'm alright... for now (knock on wood)
- Heat was borderline unbearable. But when I finally caved and set up my air conditioner the heatwave ended. Oh well.
- Bus annoyances. Without going into too much detail a route I use a lot might not service my area in the future & it's left me frustrated and uneasy. I guess I can't put off getting my license forever, but especially with gas prices these days & well, that being a route I use a lot... It feels like I'm getting my wings clipped again. sigh
Just Happened
- Volenteered at a local pride event. It was fun & I'm hoping to do more volenteer work in the future
Art & Projects
- Finished up a Tran LPS custom. It was supposed to be a quick project from last year, but it ended up sitting in my stock box due to frustrations getting the neck peg back on. This custom was a mess & at this point I just wanted it out of my backlog
- Honestly I'm not sure what I want to do next. I've been too fixated on Tomodachi Life to want to work on other projects & I don't think drawing dumb treasures and foods for my OCs counts as a project lol
Gaming & Hobby
- TOMODACHI LIFE: LIVING THE DREAM!!! - This was the only game I planned on buying new this year & just like last year with the 3DS games uh, yeah I'm checking in on them like my own scuffed soap opera lol. This time I named my island 'Doverhill' after my main OC world, though it has a mix of different OCs, IIDX characters, and and a few others right now. I mostly spam-post about my island on my personal bluesky, but for some notable things:
- Nix and Eiri were both the first crush & couple, and one of the first marriges.
- Shilow dated and broke up with a burger in the span of a day
- A lot of my islanders are obsessed with 'LPStube', 'Playing IIDX', and 'getting stuck on the T'
- I added a Flight Rising Eliminate stone as a treasure & all my islanders are terrified of it
- I've been using it to give attention to some older, lesser used OCs. Right now, Evelyn (former Pop'n OC I still need to finish writing her new info. She's a ghost that haunts an arcade), Megan (Candy gore OC I adopted years ago), and Sonya (Somnacanth fursona / toyhouse code account mascot)
- Flight Rising - it's in the background. Recently I've been into fodder training and collecting dom/profit push badges. Fodder training really is fast once you got a proper mire build
- Watched Nope despite not handling horror movies well. It's a really good movie btw but also gave me looming dread about clouds for a few days 😅
- Built a Gunpla kit for the first time. It was a High Grade Gundam Aerial, these things are a lot more delicate than I imagined. It was a fun project & I might pick up other model kits in the future.
