Still deciding what I'm going to do for my birthday... Right now it's a tie between going to the aquarium (which I'm pretty sure I haven't been to in a decade. Wow), or doing another Round 1 trip. It's one or the other, but I'm leaning on the Round 1 trip since I haven't made an arcade trip in months... like at all. I have a lot of IIDX rust to shake off (but I also want to stare at fish... hmm)
Getting concerned again and questioning the future of my online presence. Especially as invasive internet ID laws & social media bans keep spreading (and seemingly all protests against them fall on deaf ears or result in doubling down... sigh). Having at least one IRL thing to look forward to helps, but I'm debating distancing myself from social media again. Especially Bluesky (Yes, I'm aware of different clients & PDSes. But I'm uneasy with the main service's 'comply in advance' strategy)
On an ironic note, I ended up re-logging into Discord as a final 'hoo-rah' (the loneliness got to me). I don't see myself staying long-term & honestly find myself offput from using it? I don't feel comfortable building new friendships or joining servers when access to them can go 'poof'. I just hope wherever I end up next has a bigger backbone against techno-fascism.

Helped out at a local pride festival! Especially in these terrifying times, it's nice to be around other LGBTQ+ folk in my area & not feel as alone irl.

- Halfway through 2026 - A mid-year recap of things I've been doing this year. Kinda like a mega-'now' post. I'm debating making monthly recaps a thing on this site too, but I'm worried it'd make this page redundant...

Main thing on my mind right now is artfight! I mean, I've been doing some things outside of it but no other finished works for now.
Got to try super sculpey for the first time. TL:DR, a family member got a block for their own project & I got to use some of it to make... another Nix figure. Go figure (lol). Main impression is it holds detail a lot better & is more firm when baked than original sculpey, but you still shouldn't man-handle it before or after baking.
Still considering getting a back up pad tablet. It turns out my linux regressions were the result of an NVIDIA update putting me on the wrong driver & I just needed to switch, but I'm also tired of my current tablet's issues.
Thanks to recreating them in Tomodachi life & getting re-interested as a result, two of my OCs got long-overdue revamps.
- Evelyn - A ghost who's taken residence at her local arcade. She was formerly a Pop'n Music OC that got re-written to fit in my original OC universe.
- Megan - A shark-dog girl who's cursed to have her body fall apart sometimes. She's a really old candy-gore themed OC. The candy gore's now an alternate design, but I made sure to honor that part of her in her updated art & info
While I'm uneasy starting web-based projects I have had an idea for a 4-panel comic strip for a while now. I think I'll just shadow drop it if I do make it. Only note I'll leave is 'Incorrect Siren's House Quotes' was somewhat of a proof-of-concept for this more OC-centric idea.

Tomodachi Life: The Mii drama continues. Most of my spam-posting is contained to my personal bluesky, but for some notable things:
- Jpeg has surpased Siren in the amount of fights & is probably the Mii that fights the most... across all my saves. They got into constant fights on my 3DS saves too
- I think my island had a 'season of rage' or something, because fights are apparently rare in this game and yet by the end of last month there were fights every other day.
- My island had 10 kids! Well, 6 if you don't count the ones I didn't end up keeping.
- After over a year, I finally did Tomodachi Life fanart, featuring my favorite 3 IIDX characters as Miis based on a screenshot I got.
Flight Rising - In the background mostly. It's kinda just become something to do instead of aimlessly clicking between websites.
Recent read: Doris Doodle by Hassani Walker. My local library had a copy. I will warn this story deals with heavy subject matter (A main theme is the expoitation of female actors). It's the story of a world where cartoon characters are living beings / actors, and Dorris Doodle after years of retirement decides to try her shot at being a cartoon star once again.
- I've taken a break from reading though, mainly because of artfight. But I'm also thinking about what I want to read next.
