Trying to keep my head afloat, as hard as it is these days. 2024 hasn't been a great year so far on a personal standpoint and I've been feeling very depressed, anxious, and artblocked the past few months. Really the main things keeping me motivated are 7key games, Minecraft and LPS collecting. I can only hope it's enough.
Want to figure out when I'll start trying for my drivers license, being trapped indoors on virtue of an unwalkable area might be part of why this slump hasn't been easy to get out of. Problem is finding a car, since for some reason my state is strict about what car you can use for the test (I love arbitrary things getting in the way of life stuff... 🤦‍♀️).
Continuing casual LPS collecting, though I've slowed down so space doesn't become too much of an issue + I can leave funds for other hobbies.

I made a fake layout change for my website for April fools, which is in itself a parody of a lot of my frustrations with modern social media & how they treat their userbases. You can read a recap over here: Content Site - April Fools Recap

Minecraft - Has been taking priority lately, but I think it's just easier to get into. I've been working on expanding my technical & building skills & recently finished a wool farm. I'm not sure when I want to fight the ender dragon in this world, because on one hand I don't want to get in a state of "I fought the dragon & got an elytra, now what?" again, but also my terrible nether spawn made it hard to build a nether hub & I'd like to be able to explore w/o being forced to bridge over a lava lake & constantly having to evade ghasts & skeletons.
IIDX - I'm aiming for a trip roughly every 2 weeks (gives my arms time to rest + extra time for other hobbies and obligations, w/o leaving so much time to rust over). This is pretty much the only 2024 goal that's made progress this year, & if that ends up being so I'd like to make this count since I genuinely enjoy this game even at my current skill level.
BMS - Haven't been feeling the motivation to practice lately. Maybe it's time I break down and save for a controller to attempt to alleviate this

Slow progress on the layout update. Creative block seems to have seeped into HTML even after a long break. But I feel my enthusiasim for coding has mellowed out compared to 2022-early 23 for example
Still mostly creative-blocked from drawing, so I've decided to revisit custom toys for the mean time since it's so different from my usual art that it feels less imposing at the moment if that makes sense. I had to restock on supplies, some of my older paints dried up and my finer brushes got destroyed in other projects.
On that note, I've been spending more time thinking about creative block & how I should reconnect with my art in the long run. This one might need a whole personal essay / blog post to get out.
