Website To-do's
!NOTE - I don't plan on doing these all at once (some of the larger changes may need to wait a while) but take this as a public list of things I'm looking to do.
Site Tweaks
- Decide if I'll drop the masonry layout or not. I added it for neatness, and because re-arranging galleries to look nice when I added more pics drove me up the wall. But the JS I use has its limitations due to relying on the ID/Data-target properties. For example, if I want to add anything to the gallery that also needs it (like stuffing it in a tab), the gallery will break. I'll test some alternatives before deciding if I should forego it entirely.
- Art sections I want to add:
- Writings. Separate from the blog. Just don't know how I'll handle sorting them (manually? with 11ty collections?) or how I'll style them.
- 3D. This is dependent on if I continue 3D, but it'd be nice to have a dedicated gallery for my Blender works if I did.
- New site graphics featuring Io's updated design.
- Under-the-hood tweaks. Notably figuring out how to get the last modified date to update w/o restarting 11ty, as well as some CSS clean-up.
Archives
- Backing up older projects. Notably:
- The Garden - My first attempt at a webcomic.. that never made it past 16 pages. Younger me decided to archive it on toyhouse for some reason (here)
For Fun
- More OC pages, or some tidying up of the pre-existing ones.
- Recode a few of the remaining labs pages to fit the current CSS. This is a low priority
- Expand on said remaining labs pages
