2019 Summary of Paintings

In the same vein as my 2017 art summaries, I did 2 versions of this because I feel like painting overall was a big part of my art this year. Plus I almost never show off my traditional stuffs on DA

Big note: a lot of these haven't been posted here and a few of them haven't been documented in the best way, so some of these are linked offsite and I've edited a few of the pics to better reflect the colors irl

2025 Note: Many of these pieces have yet to be archived on site! This post is sbject to updates as pieces get added.

January - THE WAY OUT

The last AP concentration piece I posted here. Based off a nightmare where I was chased and cornered. Wound up taking a ton of liberties because the OG dream took place in my school

Febuary - THE ROPE MAN

Another AP piece. Based off a nightmare where there was a dude who kidnapped people via that rope thingy (forgot what it's called). This one's a little more accurate to the OG dream than some of my others

March - flowering overflow

AP work turned personal. I wanted a nice painting for my room + I used this for the other part of my AP exam. Still haven't mounted it though

April - EARLY IS ON TIME, ON TIME IS LATE

Concentration piece about being late to band. In this dream I showed up to the parade late, not dressed in uniform and they were all ready to go

May - TIME'S UP

Damn my nightmares have a theme much? Another dream about being late to band, this time to a concert. I focused on making this more surreal and 'the world's going to end' feeling to make this different

June - THE BEAST OF 2019 HAS RISEN

This piece hasn't been archived yet!

My Graduation cap! I was bouncing between having a meme or a game reference but I'm glad I went with just this because it looks cool af (also good thing I took a pic because it got a little scuffed after tossing it lol)

July - Nergigante Painting

This piece hasn't been archived yet!

No title for this one. It's kindof like ACIDTRONICA in the sense I painted this because I was finally free from AP studio and god damn it took forever because it was my first time doing any art of Nergigante and I wanted to paint him all spiked up

August - Tropical Horse

This one's a stretch because it's a toy repaint, but it's more painterly so I'll let it slide. It was part of a large tropical collab on YT. ngl if I ever find that same base or similar again I wanna make another one to go with it, like have it pine forest/northern themed

September - Moon Landing

This piece hasn't been archived yet!

Part of a series for one of my classes. We had to paint multiple versions of a scene using different color schemes and this one ended up being my favorite from the set (linked pic is an unedited placeholder pic. Planning to retake + post later on)

October - PRISMA UNDERGROUND

This piece hasn't been archived yet!

Believe it or not, part of the same assignment as the moon landing pic! We were given free choice of what we wanted out last paintings to be and i just turned it into an excuse to paint Prisma. (linked pic is an unedited placeholder pic. Planning to retake + post later on)

November - (untitled)

Assignment from my observation class. Funny story though; we were supposed to use chalk pastels for this assignment, but I accidentally brought gouache but my professor was chill with me using it instead

December - Starbucks

Part of my observation class final. We had to do a self directed project, so I did 3 paintings based off places I've been and sketched on the spot. This one was at a starbucks I went to a lot because it was right next to the grocery store.
