As per tradition- 2021's summary of art!
side note but damn I'm kinda running out of layout ideas for these since I've been doing them every year. Also, this ended up a bigger file than my older art summaries thanks to all the textures/paper textures from this years' pieces
January - Movie Night
First pic of the year. Only resolution I set for myself for 2021 was to do more scenes and backgrounds, this felt like a good start
February - Schwoop
Yeah still can't come up with a better title and description for that one. Outside of it being the first pen and ink piece I've done this year
March - (untitled)
Done as profile deco for MH!Prisma's TH page. Basically, I changed her main outfit/armor, but didn't have any art of it yet
April - Threads and Iron
Prisma's Birthday/'anniversary' pic! At that point, she's been a character of mine for 3 years, 4 years next year. Glad I sqeezed in the time to make something this year
May - "Shut up"
Semester burnout setting in? This project Idea, coming in. I'm not sure when or if I'll do mixed photo-traditional art again? I usually do this stuff digitally. I'll keep a pin in that incase I want to make a series or zine
June - 2021 Team Cyberpunk!
June was a rest and prep for artfight month. This banner was cranked out last minute to decorate my AF profile, but it ended up sticking as a stand-alone piece (been using a text-less version of it for my wallpaper since!)
July - AF 2021-Windows
Character belongs to Atlaws on DA
Third year of artfight. Ended up reaching my consistency goal from 2019. Though next time I participate, I might get a bit more experimental (though tbh that's still in the air because I'm looking to do an internship summer of 2022)
August - "Dude I got to get to class,"
Another resting month. With Artfight + needing to prep for school I wanted to take a break before fall started. Still managed to get something done though
September - (untitled)
Testing my setup at school, ended up using it for a main PFP for a while
October - Pedal Dreams
Last 3 this year were from my Illust 3 class. This one started with the idea "deep sound", but ended up running far from it. Only thing I would change now is to take more time to study pedals/synths and their uses (and maybe do a diff. border. I left it in bc it was inked traditionally but it doesn't match the piece overall looking back)
November - Pizza Party
The funny thing is the original sketch was a throw-away shitpost I did over the summer. Ended up redoing it and making a bigger thing
December - DIFFICULT SITUATION
December was a really busy month, finals & all. One of my favorite pics from this semester.
2021 was not a good year, nor was it a bad one. For me at least, it felt like a lousy Thursday yunno?
But after this, I'm taking the rest of the year off (it's only a week and a half since posting?) Did a lot of work, dealt with some things. I could use a few longer naps
